Leadership Experience Learning Outcomes

The foundational framework of this powerful leadership experience for Traditional, Non-Traditional, and First-Generation Student Leaders is built upon six learning outcomes which are Interpersonal Development, Leadership Development, Professional Development, Socially Responsible Leadership, Emotional Intelligent Leadership, and Resilient Leadership.

Interpersonal Development

Students will not only discover the leader from within, but they will increase their self-awareness, become more aware of the leadership assets they possess within, and discover how to use the assets that everyone possesses to become more effective as a leader in the 21st Century.

Leadership Development

Students will not only develop a solid working definition of leadership, but they will learn about a variety of leadership skill sets that are required to lead effectively in the 21st Century.

Resilient Leadership

Students will not only develop a solid working definition of resilient leadership, but they will learn how to develop the resiliency and grit to overcome any challenge or obstacle as a leader in the 21st Century.

Professional Development

Students will not only learn about the professional skills that are needed to attain career leadership success after graduation, but more importantly, they will learn about the specific things they should start doing now to position themselves for career success after graduation.

Socially Responsible Leadership

Students not only learn about the important of ethical leadership, but more importantly, they will understand the importance of integrity, character, social responsibility, civic engagement, social justice, and servant leadership.

Emotional Intelligent Leadership

Students not only develop a solid working definition of emotional intelligence, but they learn how to increase their emotional intelligence as a leader in the 21st Century.
